How Athletes Become Superheroes
When developing the event plan for the Enhanced Games, we took the very best of the existing sports leagues and distilled the best qualities from each. We’re reinventing sports from a blank slate, unencumbered by anachronistic legacy systems.
This survey formed the backbone of the event plan of the Enhanced Games, which seeks to be the most efficient international sports event.
The Enhanced Games advocates for bodily autonomy. We embrace the inclusion of science in sports, and we fundamentally believe that the choice to use enhancements is a personal one. Athletes will not be tested for performance enhancements, and are under no obligation to declare their enhanced status in order to compete.

Performance enhancements have always been an integral part of sports. Yet, the latter half of the 20th century has seen the latest breakthroughs in synthetic biology closeted and stigmatized.
When used correctly, the inclusion of performance enhancements can have significantly positive effects on the results of training and exercise routines. Simply put, performance enhancements augment the effects of training, and help athletes reach the true peak of their athletic ability.
Rather than penalizing the widespread use of performance enhancements, the Enhanced Movement embraces enhanced athletes. We want to see what humans are truly capable of.
Ultimately, the Enhanced Movement believes in operational efficiency and its desire to reward individual human excellence. Accordingly, a four-stage selection process was employed to determine the sports that best aligned with these values.

We have selected five core categories of sports – athletics, aquatics, gymnastics, strength, and combat. Whilst medals will be awarded to the best Enhanced athletes in each event, the ultimate monetary award will go to the peerless athletes who set new world records, thereby pushing the perceived limit of what we believe is possible.
Enhanced will deliver a high-impact yet cost-efficient games, so that we can share the profits with the athletes, based upon a model devised by the Enhanced Athletes Commission.
The Olympic Games generate substantial revenues almost unparalleled across the sporting world – to the tune of $7.6 billion in quadrennial revenue. Yet, these streams of gold don't trickle down to the athletes whose shoulders the Olympics rest upon; a 2012 study by former Olympic athletes found that just 6 percent of the US Olympic Committee's $795 million expense budget actually goes to athletes as cash payments.
The underpayment of athletes is the core moral failing of the Olympic Movement; it is a vestige of the aristocratic sentiment behind the outdated unpaid 'amateur' requirement.
We have developed four potential remuneration models (milestone-based, leaderboard-based, participatory, and pure salaried), along with a hybrid revenue-sharing and salaried system, that will be put before the Enhanced Athletes Commission for their recommendation.
At Enhanced, we want to reward excellence, and put our athletes first. We call for the other sports leagues to put their money where their mouths are.
We reject the kleptocracy of so-called “not-for-profit” sports federations. Unlike the Olympics, which is technically a non-profit organization, the Enhanced Games is a privately funded for-profit organization. This means that, whilst the Olympics leeches off of taxpayer funding, Enhanced (just like Formula 1) is able to raise private capital to pay its athletes and finance the organization of the Games.
Backed by private investors, Enhanced will be able to self-fund the running of the Enhanced Games – and highlight the inherent wastefulness of the Olympic Movement.
The costs of hosting the Olympic Games have skyrocketed over the past 20 years; a growing number of economists argue that the benefits of hosting the Games are at best exaggerated and at worst nonexistent, according to the Council on Foreign Relations.
The Enhanced Games will avoid this destructive and wasteful use of government funding by using and reusing existing infrastructure – the Enhanced Games are designed to be hosted at a Division One university campus. No new stadiums will need to be built; no cities will be driven into debt.
Our model will allow us to truly reward athletic excellence, by sharing more of our profits with our athletes.
We are only scratching the surface of what the human body is capable of. The incorporation of the latest scientific breakthroughs in athletes' performance therapies will find our athletes both stronger and faster.
Whilst gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded in each competition, the ultimate goal is to set a new world record – which will be rewarded with a prize bounty that will reflect the magnitude of the breakthrough.
